Duarja - "The boy who wanted to be a bird" |
We are happy to present at ART@Hilton "Duarja" (with his appreciated homage on the occasion of the 5th anniversary)
The work of Albert
Giralt "Duarja" could be encompassed within the so-called
pictorialism photography, but this would only define it on the
surface, as, at its heart its search for poetry within objects,
landscapes or in the mystery of looks, transcends pure
representation, a non-narrative representation which condenses time
and reduces it to an instant.
Albert Giralt
rediscovers the beauty of the outlived, of the forgotten, subtlety
dwells in place of decadence, redefining what was captured earlier
when guided by intuition, in an interpretation which isolates the
motives, gives them focus and an aura of intimacy; a second layer
added onto that which is already present in oblivion
His settings reveal
a world, which is just there, close by, its proximity making it
invisible.
